Our commitment
Blocking In does not collect personal information. There is no account to create, and we do not run third-party advertising. This page explains the one case where data leaves your browser (the color block-in) and how it is handled.
1. Images you upload
The value study, the squint test, and the printable PDF are produced entirely in your browser; those images never leave your device. The color block-in is the exception: a downscaled copy of your image is sent to our server only to compute the block-in. It is processed in memory, never written to disk, and discarded as soon as the result is returned. We do not store, log, retain, or share your images, and they are not used to train anything.
2. Analytics and cookies
We use at most a single privacy-friendly visitor counter to understand aggregate traffic. We do not use cookies to identify you, and we do not run cross-site trackers. Any usage data is aggregated and never linked to a person.
3. Third parties
Source paintings are served from our own infrastructure. We do not sell or share data with third parties for advertising. Any analytics provider we use operates under its own privacy policy and receives only aggregated, non-identifiable visit data.
4. Data retention
Uploaded images exist only for the duration of a single block-in request and are then discarded. We keep no per-user records. Aggregated analytics, if any, are retained only as long as useful and then deleted or permanently anonymized.
5. Security
Image data is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and processed transiently. No internet transmission is ever completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we hold nothing about you after a request completes.
6. Your rights
Because we collect no personal data and retain no images, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have a concern, contact us and we will respond promptly.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
